The client

Lincoln Diesel Specialties is a Bosch Certified Online Partner. It sells remanufactured fuel injectors and CP3 kits for GM Duramax, Dodge Cummins and Ford Powerstroke trucks, plus medium and heavy duty parts, from its own shop.

The store had run on Web Shop Manager 5.0. On the evening of November 1, 2026 it moved to the new WSM 6.0 storefront on the same domain. The move had three jobs:

  • Make every page fast on a phone. Most of the store’s shoppers are on mobile.
  • Keep the way diesel buyers shop. They pick a platform and an engine before they pick a part.
  • Keep what the store had earned. Same domain, same search position.

Mobile PageSpeed: 53 to 99 and 100

We measure speed the way Google does, on the canonical address, on a simulated phone.

  • Homepage, mobile: 99, 100 and 100 in three runs on November 8, 2026. The old storefront read 53 on November 1 (one read).
  • Homepage, desktop: 100 in all three runs.
  • A product page (a Bosch-authorized injector set) scored 99 on mobile in three runs.

Lab scores from Google PageSpeed Insights. They move a point or two from run to run.

A truck and engine finder on the first screen

A Duramax buyer knows the platform and the engine. The home page puts a Platform and Engine finder right under the headline, next to a search box that takes part numbers, engines and trucks.

  • Free ground shipping on orders of $499 or more, stated at checkout.
  • No Hassle Returns and a Price Match Guarantee in the header on every page.

Core charges shown up front, one-tap Add to Cart

Many injector sets carry a refundable core charge. On the new storefront the product page shows it beside the price (“plus $300.00 Core Charge” on the LML injector set), and one tap on Add To Cart puts the part and its core in the cart. The cart and the checkout summary show the core charge on its own line, so the total holds no surprise.

Wallets above the checkout form

Express checkout sits at the top of the page: PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay, then the regular form for everyone else. A buyer with a wallet on their phone can pay without typing an address. The same page holds the order summary with the core charge and the free-shipping line.

What it did to orders so far

In its first five weekdays on the new storefront (Nov 2 to 6, 2026), Lincoln Diesel Specialties’ orders ran about 7% above what last year’s seasonal pattern predicts, in line with the 10% lift we expect from the full set of upgrades (speed, digital wallets, one-tap add to cart, option sets), though one week is too early to separate from normal week-to-week variation, so we are tracking it weekly.

One caution: wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal) went live in mid October, about three weeks before the move, so some of their benefit may already sit in the baseline we compare against.

Search held through the switch: the average Google position was 8.0 in the first week on the new storefront against 8.1 the week before, and organic clicks were up 4% week over week.

The same work for your store

Every number on this page was read from the live store. That is how we run a 6.0 move: make the store fast on a phone, keep how your buyers shop, then keep improving the path from search to paid order. If you sell parts by truck, engine or spec, talk to us, or see more of our work.
