Examples of Module Needs/Solutions
Need:
Fee Advisors Network needed a way to list advisors by state in order to ensure that their website would be easy to navigate and useful to each and every user. They came to WSM hoping that our back end Content Management System would be robust enough to provide solutions to these kinds of problems.
Solution:
WSM’s Resources/Links module was used to create a resource for each state. This allows a page full of links to be created, and listed in whatever order is chosen in the back end of WSM. The result is a fluid browsing experience for their users; finding an advisor in your state is as easy as locating it on the page and clicking the link. Whenever an update or addition needs to be made it can easily be done from within the Resources/Links module accessed through our eCommerce CMS.
Need:
The Marshall Tucker Band needed to display their tour dates in a prominent place on the home page. In addition to this, they had a need to display past and present band members with brief biographies.
Solution:
A simple widget developed by our creative team enables the calendar module to be embedded directly onto the home page for easy access. The calendar can then be updated and edited easily in the back end of WSM, and the updates will show up in real time on the embedded calendar. Using the News/Blog feature in a creative way allowed them to create short biographies of all band members, past and present, complete with photos and room for comments.
Need:
Fortune 421 had the unique challenge of requiring multiple templates to differentiate between similar, yet separate branches of their company.
Solution:
Our eCommerce Web Development team created separate but cohesive templates that can be assigned by category to maintain consistency in appearance when each is used. This feature can now be taken advantage of by all of our clients, allowing you to create a truly dynamic user experience between different facets of your company.
Need:
Fee Advisor Network, The Marshall Tucker Band, and Fortune 421 all also had another problem in common. They were all in need of a comprehensive way to feature multiple photographs in a creative way on their home pages.
Solution:
The Web Development team at WSM decided that the best way to solve this problem was through innovative use of the Photo Gallery module. By integrating this feature onto the home page, our clients are now able to create a slideshow that features pictures of their choosing beautifully on the front page. These photos can be changed whenever so desired, allowing you to create an ever changing and fresh home page to keep customers coming back!
